How the free single-user setup works

  1. Buy your modules. Your setup is included at no extra cost.
  2. Create a free Supabase account at supabase.com. The account is in your name and your data stays yours. No card is needed for the free plan.
  3. Connect it to HTG Setup. We email you a secure link. Sign in to Supabase and approve HTG's setup access.
  4. We install everything. HTG creates your project and installs every module you bought into it, all in one project.
  5. Start working. You receive your login link and your modules are ready.
Good to know about the free plan. Supabase pauses free projects after one week with no activity. Your data is kept: open your Supabase dashboard, select the project and choose Restore. The free plan allows two active projects, and all your HTG modules share one. To stop pausing, upgrade your Supabase account to Pro at any time (billed by Supabase).

How automated multi-user setup works

  1. Buy your modules and the Multi-user add-on for each one your team will share.
  2. Buy the Automated Multi-User Setup ($199). One setup covers every module you own.
  3. Upgrade your Supabase account to the Pro plan. Team use needs a project that never pauses. Supabase bills you for it directly (from $25 a month).
  4. Connect it to HTG Setup using the secure link we email you, and approve HTG's setup access.
  5. We automate the install: your project, every module, your company workspace, staff roles and permissions.
  6. Your team gets invitations by email. You stay the owner and can add or remove people any time.

Your own server — HTG sets it up

  1. Tell us about your server with the request form below: where it's hosted and who manages it.
  2. We confirm it's ready and send you a fixed quote before any work starts.
  3. We install the database platform (self-hosted Supabase) and your modules, with secure connections and backups.
  4. We test everything and hand over your logins and a written record of the setup.

Do it yourself

Option A — your own Supabase account

  1. Create a project at supabase.com. Pick a region near you and save the database password somewhere safe.
  2. Install the database. Open the SQL Editor. Run your module's Schema file first, then its Seed file. Both are in your module download.
  3. Turn on the module's data access. In Project Settings → Data API, add the module's schema name (listed in its install guide) to Exposed schemas, then save.
  4. Copy your connection details. In Project Settings → API Keys, copy the Project URL and the anon / publishable key. Never put the service_role / secret key in a module.
  5. Connect the module. Open the module's HTML file in a text editor, find the CONFIG block near the top, and paste the URL and key into supabaseUrl and anonKey.
  6. Add your first user under Authentication → Users, then follow the install guide's "first admin" step.
  7. Check it. Open the module. It should show it's connected (live) rather than in demo mode.

Option B — your own server

  1. Install self-hosted Supabase on your server using Supabase's official guide: Self-hosting with Docker. Plain PostgreSQL alone isn't enough, because the modules also use Supabase's sign-in and data services.
  2. Follow steps 2–7 of Option A using your server's own Supabase dashboard and connection details.
  3. Host the module files on any web host, or open them directly on your devices.
